I just found this today- It is the longest list of acronyms I have ever seen- some were familiar and some not, but I thought you may be interested:

hahaha, that is a great list, someone asked me yesterday if my son was OSUT and I said I had no idea, he was going to stay at FLW for basic and AIT  At least she didn't call me stupid, hahaha.

I sure learned a few things from that list, Denise. I guess Drew is right about "Fort Dragg"....No Girls off post!!! so funny that he just mentioned that last week. He is a ladies man and is lost there!!! LOL

Okay, now that I know MOS is not 'method of service', I bet no one will ask me Matt's MOS again! This is a wonderful list. Matt sometimes rattles off initials when talking and I'm as lost as he would be if I rattled off the acros we use in nursing! Thanks for the information, Denise.

Going downrange = when a recruit is finally done with in-processing at reception and is moved to another part of the Army post to join his training unit and begin the actual training.
