Dear goarmyparents.com Members:

I am very happy to announce that Virtus Apparel is going to be an advertiser on your great website effective today, May 27, 2009! You'll notice the Virtus banner ads appearing and you can click through those to the Virtus website.

Virtus is a Latin word literally meaning courage, strength and excellence. If you put a face on the brand, it would be a member of the U.S. Military, because no one shows more courage than our soldiers, airmen, sailors and marines every day of their life.

We are an unabashedly patriotic and pro military clothing/design company. Our central tennants are Freedom, Liberty, Justice and Peace...and Virtus. While some of our designs are definitely edgy, if you look deeper, you'll see there are positive messages, deep historical meaning, and patriotic symbolism in everything we offer.

The popular designer tshirts being worn by the teen and young adult crowd is Afflication, Sinful, Archaic, and Ed Hardy, just to name a few. These shirts can cost up to $100 and you'll find that many of their messages are anti-social or devoid of any meaning. Virtus offers great value and positive messages. We're very proud of our designs and customers we serve, and we will not let them down. We've found that the soldiers who order Virtus and Apprime products wear them with pride because our designs represent their values and tell their story.

We'll be making regular postings to this Virtus Apparel forum page, and provide you with details of new products/designs, press releases, special promotional items, Virtus Hero of the Month, as well as asking your opinion on different items.

We are also happy to announce that goarmyparents.com has a 20% discount code available from Virtus. Simply enter the following coupon code, ARMYPARENT, at checkout, and you'll get 20% off your order.

We look forward to building a relationship with the parents of our soldiers through this website. Please let us know if you have any questions or thoughts on our products (both positive and negative feedback welcomed!) and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.

God Bless your sons and daughters who are bravely serving our country. It is an honor to have customers who are so selfless in everything they do.

Thank You!

Tom Kelly

Welcome! My daughter apparently already found you somewhere, because she has been wearing one of your designs for a while now.

My son bought a bunch of your T's and a hoodie down at Fort Jackson last January...I bought son #2 a couple of T's when we went for graduation. GREAT product and I'm so glad you have the website going (and the GAP discount as well!). For anyone that has a son going to BCT (or finishing up) these would make wonderful gifts, our soldiers love them!

I want to thank you for honoring our soldiers and vets! Rarely anymore do I see any business that gives any kind of military discount and I applaud you for this. I will definately be giving you my business!

Hello,
In your ad, "Soldier" is spelled wrong.

Peggy:

We have received a few of those requests recently and the next time we print those women's designs at the supplier, we are definitely going to do some XLs. I'm sorry we don't have what you need right now, but when I get an update on these new sizes, I'll put a post on this forum.

Thanks for the comments and please let me know if you have any questions.

Tom Kelly

Do you plan to add any designs specific to Cav Scouts? My son will be graduating in April and I would like to get him something from your collection. I'm sure he would love it because he wore Affliction shirts before entering the Army.

Virtus apparel surely sports cool designs. It is a unique statement shirt that clearly defines its vision. I am proud to had purchased one and every time I wear it, there is a sense of pride in me.

I purchased two shirts from Virtus for my son's OSUT graduation and the service was excellent and the T-shirts wonderful.

My son absolutely loved his Infantry shirt. I've been trying to get him to take a picture of himself in it, but he keeps forgetting.

The only suggestion I would make is since Virtus advertises here on GAP, they need more items for the ladies - lots of moms here want to wear something to support their kids every day (I know I feel like I NEED to wear something every day that helps me feel closer to my son now that he's deployed). I'm not opposed to wearing the men's style shirts, but the women's style is much more flattering.
