Forum rules


OPSEC Warning

Since you are posting in our "Deployed" forum, please observe the following rules. While you may notice that certain social networking sites don't bother to follow OPSEC, we at "Go Army Parents" want to protect each and every Soldier to the utmost of our ability.

# Do not post last names of any Soldier on this public forum.
# Do not post specific deployment and/or Troop movement dates (Summer is OK - June or June 15 is Not)
# Do not post specific Troop name information (92nd ID is OK - 3rd PLT, Delta Co, 92 Inf BN is Not)
# Do not post the specific deployed location and/or address of your Soldier or any unit (Afghanistan is OK - FOB Jones or APO xyz is Not)
# Do not post unit/Soldier itineraries (is. leaving post on June 15, flying to East Coast, to Europe, to Kuwait, to xxx base)
# Do not post any Troop movement, size and/or action (ie. son's patrol of 15 going outside the wire on Thursday)

If you violate any of these OPSEC posting rules, you may see your post either edited or deleted. If you have any questions, contact Army Medic Dad. Thank you for keeping all our Soldiers safe over there.

Hi, It's been awhile since I've been here but I'm hoping someone can help me. There are a couple of soldiers with my sons unit in Afghanistan who my son said are not receiving any care packages from home. This breaks my heart. I have two sons in the Army and I've always made sure that while they were deployed they had most anything they needed. I was hoping to get volunteers to send things to these two young men. I will also be sending things to them. Please send me a message if you are interested in helping and I'll give you their address and some things that they need. Thanks to everyone in advance.

I have been sending packages to my son in Afghanistan and he's been sharing items with other soldiers who haven't had anything sent to them. Not everything I send is a home run! My son is also lucky enough to have a great group of friends and relatives who have also been sending items. I would love to share stuff with any soldier not as fortunate as mine in getting "goodies" from home. Please let me know what I can do to help-Let me know how to reach you as I don't want to violate any security policies on this site. Thanks!
