talked with michael,they had a good snow last week.they are testing for EIB this week,so hoping he will earn that as well.army wanting him to go to hohenfels to train deploying troops.told him it would be a great chance ta pass his experience on.will know this weekend if he earns his eib

Good luck to Michael and congrats on him training other soldiers--he must really know his stuff for them to have noticed and want him to train others. It'll look very good for promotions also. :!:

I hope it's great news this weekend for his EIB! :) Thanks to Michael for his service, and for looking out for our other troops.

How long did it take for him to get EIB?
Did he like the designated marksman course?
Is he 1 ID?

my son is 3 BCT 1 ID, Infantryman

on the EIB they been testing all week,tomorrow is last day,so he get all goes then,he will have earned EIB and CIB.he liked the dmc,alot of longer distance shot's,on different weapons.it was a 2 or 3 week course.if your son is offered it i think he would like it.michael is with the 170th,used ta be 1ad.how is your son doing.been awhile since been on

He loves the training, but not crazy about Ft Knox. He is set to go to designated marksman school. He has been told when he makes E 3, they will grant his request to go to airborne and RIP(now RASP). By then the SGT's tell him they will be counting down the last 120 days before they deploy. But they do not had any warning orders yet.

well michael called he got his EIB.said he made his 12 mile march in 2hours and 45 min,beat the time by 15minutes.jrsdad,your son will enjoy the class,tell him good luck with the airborne-ranger.they offered it two times to michael but he said he was happy for now.will be pulling for ya son.keep me updated
