Hi everyone! I just wanted to say to you all how much I love reading
your posts on here. My family is still going through a very tough
time with the situation concerning my son's status at Ft. Gordon.
Some of you may not know that he is supposed to be getting
"chaptered" out due to failure to pass his pt tests. He was kicked
out of class in November after failing a test and has been on a
holding pattern since then. They didn't have regular pt and he,
unfortunately, had a lot of time to just lay around with nothing
to do but think. During Christmas Exodus he started dating an
old friend of his from school and now they have decided they just
are so "in love" and have to be together. Until then, he was
handling things ok, just waiting to get back in class. Now, we
aren't sure that he failed the pt tests on purpose because he passed
the first one just fine. I hate to think that about my son and I feel
like he is giving up the chance at a good future - 4 years of college
and a big enlistment bonus. He is 19 with no college, no job
experience or training. His dad and I are so frustrated and
disappointed. But, everytime I get on here I end up with a laugh
and a big grin on my face! THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!
Corinna - my heartfelt thanks and love to you for all your support!!
Rena - welcome!
GO TONY!!! SMOKE 'EM!!!
P. S. I know that one Sgt. - a Sgt. Bland has really been trying
to talk to Adam and get him to think long and hard about
what he is doing. Don't think he is listening, but I really
appreciate her efforts! So, evidently, he could still change
things and stay there and get back into class. Right now
there is no indication when he will be sent home. So, please
say prayers for him because there are no jobs here at all.
certainly none with a future.
